A Truth Journal: Laugh: Jon Stewart Tells It Like It Is About VP Debate: From Denny:  Junkyard dog VP Joe Biden smacked down his snarky Republican opponent, Paul Ryan, in the first few nano seconds of the debate.

Then Biden picked up the dazed talking parrot and slammed him against the barn door for lying every time he opened his mouth with phony statistics and fantasy GOP sponsored "studies."  Debate done; Biden won hands down.  We were all cheering at our house as this was the best TV we had seen in years.

Just check out all the funny news clips Jon Stewart collected from the sore loser side, the Republicans.  These three video clips are hilarious; the truth revealed in fast time.  The best is how Stewart took my fellow journalists to task for some really childish reporting, something I've fussed about for years.

A Truth Journal: 2012 VP Debate: Who Will Secure The Womens Vote?: From Denny:  After President Obama's passionless performance in the first presidential debate, the pressure has mounted in the Democrats' camp for Vice President Biden to recover serious losses, especially among women voters.  That's right; Obama went into the debate with a 14-point lead with women over Romney.  After the debate?  Obama lost that entire lead and is barely holding on in a dead heat.

Can VP Biden make up the difference tonight?  Democrats are hoping that is the case.  Joe Biden is as known for his passion as he is for his occasional gaffes of ill-chosen words to speak the truth.  My money is on Biden to make a great showing in tonight's debate in spite of Paul Ryan's aggressive attacks and attempts at feigned deference - and hollow courtesy like Romney pulled on Obama.

Paul Ryan is being touted by the Republican camp and their media enablers as a virile handsome challenger to Biden.  The Republicans are posting photos of Ryan pumping iron and planting stories in the media of how handsome women find him.  Well, that's not the opinion at this house where I am perfectly capable of doing my own thinking, thank you very much.  I do not need to be spoon fed how to think by the clueless manipulative Republicans.

The truth is that Ryan looks goofy and wimpy.  He is known for the reputation of The Agreeable Brown Noser.  Goofy and Brown Noser are not exactly the qualities voters want to see in a possible presidential candidate, even if he is a VP pick.  Why else would the Republicans feel so compelled to create a different persona for him?  "Do ya think?" it has anything to do as well with the fact that Ryan has declared his own War On Women to render us back to slave status if he could pass his idiot legislation?

A Truth Journal: Romney-Ryan: Stupid On Steroids, Insults American Voters: From Denny:  Can the Romney campaign get any worse?  Apparently so, considering the latest gaffe of an open mike recording of Romney speaking to a pack of like-minded empty-minded folks at a Florida fundraiser and barfed up online, courtesy of President Jimmy Carter's grandson.

It went viral.  Clearly, Mr. Romney has zero respect for half of America that are voters.  He basically said that everyone is stupid but him.  What an arrogant self-righteous ass.

Yeah, Romney, that's a plan.  Go ahead.  Insult the very people you are attempting to influence to vote for you.  Wow, what a smart guy, fresh from the Wall Street board room.

The Social Poets: Funny Jokes: Republican Convention, Hurricane Isaac, Galilee Sex Scandal:  From Denny:  These late night jokes kept our house entertained today as we wait out Hurricane Isaac.  FYI - Today is the seven year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.  Yeah, I was here for that one and Hurricane Gustav too - which did more damage in Baton Rouge than Katrina.

It does make you wonder just how desperate the Republicans are to win the White House when they contracted for CBS Scott Pelley to interview Anne Romney about her various health issues over the years.  I caught the interview this afternoon.  He actually prompted her to "tell us about your miscarriage."  You have got to be kidding me.  What did Pelley receive in exchange?  A promise for exclusive interviews if Romney wins?  

It was the most tasteless interview I've seen in years, asking her about her miscarriage episode...

The Social Poets: The Whole Truth, Funny Jon Stewart On VP Joe Bidens Wall Street Financial Slavery Speech: From Denny:  Me thinks the conservative media doth protest too much.  Yep, they sure are laying it on thick for VP Papa Joe Biden's accurate comment about how the middle and working classes are chained into financial slavery because of the Big Banks and Big Business corporations that are clearly still out of control.

Since this is a nasty presidential campaign where all name-calling and outright lying is utilized by the GOP campaign in particular, they thought they could win some brownie points going after Affable Joe.

Yeah, like that silly attack stuck.  The man sports a Teflon suit, always has and always will.  He's been that popular with regular people - and Teflon fashionable for decades as a real public servant.

The media that jumps on him are the Lapdog Press - and political strategists - owned outright by the likes of the consummate puppeteers:  greedy billionaires like the Koch Brothers and Fox "News" Rupert Murdock.  Hollow opinions from the disingenuous contain no merit and certainly carry no weight with the voters, especially the elderly that trust Biden on issues like Medicare.

The Social Poets: Romney Self-Destructs: Chose Tea Party Favorite Paul Ryan As VP: From Denny:  If you thought the Romney campaign could not get any worse with the political gaffes and missteps, now hear this.  Yes, Romney just chose ultra conservative - and nationally hated - Rep. Paul Ryan as his VP running mate.

That certainly is a game changer, boys, the wrong one.  Well, guess Obama can now count on a second term after all - provided he keeps his political strategists like Axelrod and Plouffe from being his surrogates.  They really are just too sleazy for public viewing.

Romney's VP pick certainly increases Obama's chances at a second term, especially with Papa Joe as the ever-endearing Obama VP that is good for the country.  VP Joe Biden is the stark contrast of a caring person with a stellar foreign policy knowledge and experience compared to the punk attitude of Ryan.  Joe will eat up Ryan in any debates.  That stupid decision of the Republican strategists to fire up the conservative base will cost Romney the election as it did for McCain when he chose Sarah Palin.
